Brentford came away from enemy territory with an impressive 4-1 League Cup victory over Queens Park Rangers thanks mainly to a devastating first half performance in which the Bees gave Rangers a footballing lesson. After going in 3-1 up at the break (OG, Egan, Maupay) Brentford allowed Rangers to come back into it during the second period, however, the Bees notched another goal (Clarke) to give the final score line a well deserved feel.
