Brentford head to Stamford Bridge this weekend looking to continue their unbeaten run against world champions Chelsea, who have yet another new coach picking their side. The Bees, who sit in fifth place above the Blues, will be confident based on recent form, as well as a trio of Premier League victories at the Bridge under their belts. If they approach the game with a brave outlook, that record in the blue part of west London could be improved further.
Billy “The Bee” Grant and Dave “Laney” Lane look back at the FA Cup win at Sheffield Wednesday, the cup draw against giant-killers Macclesfield Town on the horizon, and the big derby just off the King’s Road. There’s more Facts & Funk from JB, while King Tut delivers a no-nonsense Chelsea preview, assessing what’s changed and how he feels the new manager will perform.

There’s also a pre-match interview between talkSPORT pundit Jason Cundy and Beesotted’s Billy the Bee that you must listen to.
It turned into one of the more awkward previews, with loosely structured questions and a fair bit of attempted rage-baiting, as Cundy repeatedly framed it as “small club Brentford” taking on “big club Chelsea”… despite Brentford sitting above Chelsea in the table and having beaten them three times at Stamford Bridge in the past four seasons. These repeated attempts to belittle Brentford’s Premier League achievements ran on a loop. It was clearly not an easy interview. If the aim was to wind up Brentford fans, you’ll have to judge that; if it was to offer insight, the bar was set somewhere around ankle height. Credit to Billy the Bee, who swerved the nonsense with patience and humour, and in doing so only highlighted how far Brentford have come… even if Cundy is still struggling to catch up.
