New era at Brentford. Lee Carsley took over the reigns with his first game in charge of The Bees against his old team Birmingham City.
After a bright start, the Bees fell behind to another set piece goal .. and it was all downhill from there.
Heads went down. Brentford fell apart. And it was only a matter of time before
Birmingham would have nicked a second goal – Clayton Donaldson hitting the Bees on the break.
We spoke to Brentford and Birmingham fans in the pub. Admittedly Birmingham fans felt that they Bees should have got much more out of that match and they rode their luck at times. But Bees fans have heard it all before – fearing there is something deeply worrying about Brentford’s predicament at the moment.
