Weather forecasts for Friday and Saturday suggest that northern England will suffer significant snowfall as Arctic conditions return to the UK – the BBC claim that road and transport links could be badly affected.

Brentford’s crunch clash with Sheffield United would be under threat if snow fall levels are as predicted.
