An interesting chart has emerged, that shows each Championship clubs’ average home and away figures, alongside a percentage of the home fans that travel away at each team.

Brentford fans come out top of the league, and although our home support is fairly ‘average’ compared to most other teams’, it is still an impressive achievement and a demonstration of the loyalty shown in recent seasons away from Griffin Park.

The fact is, the year the “revolution started at Brentford in 2011 – just after Nicky Forster was installed as the front man (with Mark Warburton actually running the show) – the season Bees list to Carlisle in the Johnstones Paint Trophy, our average crowd was not even 5,000. In came Uwe Rosler the following season and things were starting to look upwards.
