Brentford started the game very lively. They had the better chances of the half but fell to a late strike by Tomlin just before half-time

In the second half, Bees pretend hard for the equaliser. City’s keeper O’Donnell was having a tremendous match pulling off a string of quality saves. Then Hogan won a penalty. Which he missed.

But the game wasn’t over as Hogan lept like a jumping bean deep into extra time to equalise for The Bees – to score his 1st goal for Brentford 595 days after he was horribly injured against Rotherham.
