The huge Big Brentford Book of the Nineties arrived from the printers’ on Wednesday and, even if I do say so myself, it is absolutely draw-droppingly stunning. At almost 600 pages, and packed with hundreds of never-seen or long-forgotten colour photos, this is not only the biggest book ever produced on our football club, it is unquestionably the best/heaviest too! The scale of this book is phenomenal.
The eventful Nineties decade is featured in the most minute of details – those who have already invested in the 70s and 80s editions will be familiar with the concept of providing a match report for every single game – but this time round we’ve been able to find a photo to correspond with a match on virtually every spread, with loads more press cuttings, and interviews with the players and managers during an eventful era at the club. The Eighties book was big, but this is even bigger!
We are busy boxing up, delivering and couriering out copies to those Bees who bought the book in advance to take advantage of the ‘name in book’ scheme – local deliveries will be made Thursday and Friday – while those living a little further afield should have them delivered via Hermes Couriers on Monday-Tuesday next week.
For those who are yet to buy and would like to get their hands on a copy ASAP, please visit www.legendspublishing.net/90 or the Brentford FC Club shop, where copies have been delivered and are now in stock.
There will be a sampler uploaded in the next few days so you can get a feel for the book and how colossal it really is.
