In his first article for Beesotted, VineyBee explains why he will be supporting not one but two top of the table teams in division one this week

This week I will be supporting both Brentford and Wolves. Why would I cheer on a team that we’re challenging for the title? It’s simple, if Wolves win their next two games then we’ll be a Championship team on Monday, before we’ve even kicked off. Forget winning the league, we’ll be in the bloody Championship!

If you’d offered automatic promotion THIS season to any fan after the Yeovil play-off final last year then they would’ve bitten your hand off. I am absolutely delighted with second place!

The Swindon result wasn’t too surprising for me. We’ve had Jonathan Douglas and Alan McCormack from them (two of the best players in the league) and we completely pissed on their chips last season – I’d imagine they were out for blood! No worries, still four games to go.

As it stands, we’re seven points clear of Leyton Orient and eight clear of Rotherham and Preston (who visit the Griffin Park fortress on Friday). We should bounce back from Swindon and get the three points against Preston, they’ve done well this season but we’ve got the crowd and a much better team! Rotherham travel to Wolves, this could be a draw but you couldn’t see Rotherham winning, meaning they’ll stay on 79 points or at best, get to 80.

Leyton Orient are away to Crawley, a tricky game where it’s easy to drop points but they put five past Gillingham, so they’ll fancy their chances. Even if they win they’ll still be seven points behind us with only nine to play for – Rotherham should be out of the race and ten points behind.

Then, on Monday, Leyton Orient play Wolves at 12.15pm… They won’t beat Wolves – at best they’ll get a draw – and have 84 points. We travel to Mc Plastic Wombles knowing that we’ll be up – even before Beesotted’s first “oooooh” on Twitter.

We then have a kick-about on Saturday with Marcus Bean and Ryan Dickson, go for a night out in Essex to celebrate, have a look for Harlee’s car, and when we get back, we order the open top bus for the Stevenage game. Happy days!

I’m not religious, but Easter is now my new favourite holiday!
