The second instalment of Bees transfer activity on Beesotted this week features the record-breaking signing of Kristoffer Ajer from Celtic. Brentford stumped up a hefty £13.5m on a player they have had their eyes on for several years, watching his development from afar, before snapping him up for Premier League football in TW8.

Beesotted caught up with football agent Will Glavin from Celtic Now and Forever Podcast who gives us the lowdown on the Norwegian international… His strengths and weaknesses. His style of play. His temperament and how he thinks he will get on playing for Brentford in the Premier League… and his similarity to Kevin De Bruyne!!!

To give ourselves the best chances of top flight survival, we know that the Bees players will have to battle week in week out, in every area of the pitch. That roll-yer-sleeves-up when you have to, whilst showing calmness and quality on the ball, is something Ajer posses in bucket loads – he’s composed on the ball, can pick a pass, as well as hopefully having the ability to wade in with a goal or two when coming forward for corners and free kicks. 

With midfield and central defence options now as competitive as ever, Bees fans will be looking at rumours surrounding left sided attack and right-back rumours before the season starts.
