Brentford look set to add another European talent to their ranks after Spanish press have confirmed that 20 year old striker Hernandez Malcolm III has agreed a summer transfer from La Liga 2 side Numancia
Hernandez – known locally as “Los Langosta” (“the lobster”) – looks as though he has been signed via statistical modelling after an impressive debut season following his release from the Zaragoza youth set up last summer
Whilst a modest goal return of 8 strikes in 31 league games so far might not quite get pulses racing among the Brentford faithful, Hernandez has contributed an astonishing 34 assists already this season, with 13 of those coming directly from long throws.
Hernandez has in fact become a small celebrity in Spain due to his sensational throwing ability, recently appearing on Saturday night TV show “Puedes Asportarlo” where he succesfully managed to throw ten kettles through a basketball hoop within one minute. He is also regarded to have a cultured left foot and strong heading ability.
Brentford are expected to confirm the transfer later on today (April 1st) after signing on formalities are completed, with the player passing a medical at Jersey Road yesterday.
