BrentfordFC B travelled to Dulwich Hamlet for the first of two cup games the Bees are involved in this week – this being the London Senior Cup. The second cup tie is at the weekend – the FA Cup match in Swansea.
And a hard fought game saw the Bees win 1-0 – a goal from Jan Zamburek separating the two sides in a closely contested match
Fredrik Hammar had a shot bounce off the line in the early stages. Michael Onovwigun hit the post in the first half for the Hamlet in what turned out to be their best chance.
The biggest eyebrow raiser for most Bees fans was Theo Archibald’s concision to left full-back from his traditional winger role. Archibald, along with goalscorer Zamburek and Finnsonn were three Bees players who were the subject of pos-match bar chinwagging.
We had a chat to Bees fans and Hamlet fans in a rather lively bar after the match – with Jack Payne giving us one of his legendary songs
