Brentford have finally signed midfielder Sullay Kaikai from Crystal Palace on loan – a player who’s potential arrival has previously been the subject of talk on the Beesotted Pride of West London Podcast, and who was flagged as a target for signing, along with Jamie Paterson (who joined Bristol City) and Ollie Watkins, by .
Many fans have seen it as a big positive that Kaikai put pen to paper on Wednesday afternoon, and he looks set to make his debut against Brighton after the international break.
You can listen to an interview with comedian Kevin Day from Full Year Plan Crystal Palace Fanzine (27m 41 secs), who tells as all about Sully KaiKai from an Eagles fan’s perspective, on the Beesotted Pride of West London Podcast by clicking the link above.
Kaikai, who was also the target of Ipswich Town – and was supposedly in the director’s box a week ago at Portman Road according to local reports – has had an outstanding season on loan to Chesterfield last season scoring 12 goals in 26 appearances.
Can I point out, that Exeter’s Ollie Watkins is only 15 years old and as such is still attending secondary school. Brentford do not have an academy now and can only take young players of 17yo and upwards who can attend College. I can’t see how the Bees can get around this.
You could if it wasn’t completely incorrect. Ollie Watkins is 20. You’re probably thinking of Ethan Ampadu
Why worry Ratcatcher i thought you didnt support the Bees anymore?
