Beesotted lads decided what better way to forget a 3-0 defeat to your top-of-the table rivals than to get down to Brixton Academy and hang with all manner of rock n roll types at the NME awards.
Unfortunately, “Come On You Brentford” by the Beesotted Bees just missed out on a nomination … probably due to the fact that Lily Allen, who’s dad did Vindaloo, was in the house and they didnt want us to trump her.
We grabbed a quick chat with Peter “the Croucher” Crouch about his time playing for Brentford … but obviously not wanting to upset his blue and white bretheren he went all shy on us when the clapperboard went down …… no one is safe when the Beesotted camera is about ….
All sorts of shenanighans went down with Johnny Marr, Debbie Harry, Disclosure, The Orwells, Jarvis Cocker, Damon Albarn, The Horrors, Drenge, The ATY, Royal Blood, Palma Violets, the Sugarbabes (yeah quite bad) and loads more ..
Much fun was had by all as we flushed that defeat out of our system with copious amounts of olde skool (quite horrible) Tuborg beer, red wine and cold Dominos pizza ….
how incredibly rock n roll ….
