Brentford bounced back nicely after the Derby disappointment with a 3-0 win against Wolves with any faint thoughts of a relegation dogfight dismissed immediately.

Meanwhile, Rotherham – with Neil Warnock newly at the helm – lost to Reading and were firmly lodged in the relegation zone 6 points adrift of safety.
