Beesotted contributor The Gowler (@BeesBreakdown) gives us the tactical and statistical lowdown of Brentford’s win agaisnt Leicester.
Thomas Frank sent Janelt to the bench in favour of Kevin Schade getting a start on the left wing. Brentford’s 4-2-3-1 returned, although the Bees continue to play a 4-4-2 out of possession. Keane Lewis-Potter started at left back, joining Pinnock, Collins, and van den Berg along the backline. Nørgaard and Jensen formed a double pivot, with Damsgaard pushing further up the pitch. The wingers, Mbeumo and Schade, joined Wissa up front.
Leicester gave Ben Dawson the opportunity to manage Leicester before van Nistelrooy takes over. Dawson chose a 3-4-2-1 with Okoli, Coady, and Faes on the backline with wingbacks, Luke Thomas and James Justin. Soumaré and Ndidi the defensive midfielders, with Ayew and Bounanotte the wingers supporting Jamie Vardy making runs in-behind.

Brentford continued their scintillating home form, the best home record in the Premier League, by winning six and drawing one. The Bees have created 16.8 xG at home so far this season, the most out of any club.
Leicester only recorded 3 shots on target and 1.06 xG. They found it difficult to create much without finding Vardy in-behind. The Bees did well to prevent counters and transitional moments.
Thomas Frank will be pleased to see some of the newer signings starting to make an impact. Kevin Schade, who has struggled in recent matches, finally found his shooting boots, ending with a hattrick.
Other standout players so far this season include Nathan Collins, who has won the most aerial duels in the Premier League with 52. Damsgaard is 2nd in goal creating actions, with 10, and 3.6 xAG which is 5th in the Premier League.
