Uwe Rosler spoke to Beesotted this afternoon and urged each and every Brentford fan to banish the demons of old and get down to both Swindon games to support the team this Bank Holiday weekend and urged Brentford fans to remain positive – just as his young team has done. As much as he understands the ‘years of hurt’ Brentford fans have been through, he says his team has nothing to fear and feels that the fans should feel the same.
He describes the decision to stage two games within 48 hours as a ludicrous, moneymaking idea with absolutely no respect or thought given to the players, the actual games themselves, or the ability for each competing team to try and impress the TV audience with decent football. He truly believes that every Brentford fan should show his or her true colours and get down to to ground to shout the team on in these two games – the most important matches of the season.
Uwe describes this weekend’s action as a second opportunity for automatic promotion – something Brentford should grab with both hands. The reality is Brentford have been third, or thereabouts, for most of the season and didn’t quite grab the chance that they were given to get an automatic promotion spot. They are now very lucky to be given a second bite of the cherry and will take that opportunity with both hands.

And don’t forget, the Brentford ticket office is open Friday 3rd May 7am until 8pm and Sunday 5th May all day for Swindon tickets and possibly Monday morning. Tickets will be available to ANYONE on the database. If you are a Brentford fan and are not on the database, find a friend, a friend of a friend or tweet @beesotted and we may be able to help. We all want the stadium rocking again this bank holiday weekend.
