Brentford stopped the rot with a goal-less draw against Crystal Palace to bring to a sharp halt a run of six straight league and cup defeats. Next up, though, is a trip to North London where Arsenal will be looking to exact revenge for the season curtain-raiser defeat at New Griffin Park, which had their fans smarting, and the rest of the footballing world sitting up and taking notice of The Bees’ arrival to the top table.

As expected, things haven’t gone all Brentford’s way since that day-one victory, and the visit to The Emirates will be another learning curve, however, with Thomas Frank able to pick from a nearing full strength squad, and with Christan Eriksen becoming a selection option, Bees fans will set off in slightly more confident mood than of late. It would be great to see CE21 on the bench and making his debut some time in the second half, that would give everyone a lift ahead of a vital run of fixtures.

Billy The Bee Grant ( and Dave Laney Lane () linked up in the virtual joint for a catch up on the Crystal Palace match as well as a look forward to the forthcoming Arsenal game with guest Arsenal Fan TV.

They also discussed the recent article by Jim Levack which highlighted the abuse being given to both players and fans recently after our set of poor results – pointing out that the behaviour is having a direct impact on results.
