Brentford produced a classic night’s entertainment under the Griffin Park floodlights on Tuesday evening – slamming five goals past hapless Birmingham City and sending the trio of ex-Bees back up the M40 with the sound of humiliation ringing in their ears.
Goals from Ollie Watkins (2), Flojo, Neil Maupay and an OG tell some of the story, but it could have been double figures as the flowing football had the Blues on the ropes in the second half. Harley Dean, in particular, had a torrid evening and was singled out for the most grief… all three sides of Griffin Park singing his song at the end of the game and frequently during.
