Off the back of a disappointing draw to second-placed Swansea, Billy the Bee Grant and Dave Laney Lane discussed the 1-1 ‘battering’ of the Swans by The Bees the night before
With Swansea notching only 2 chances to Brentford’s 21 and an xG of 0.25 to Brentford’s 2.65, they asked the question should Brentford have put this game to bed no problem by half time? Or were they just unlucky and another day would have seen them bury three or four?
Plus we asked were Swansea’s ‘aggressive’ tactics effective? Should Brentford be doing more to try and combat teams playing this way? And will that type of football see them over the line at the end of the season?
Plus Phil from Ringing The Blues Podcast gives us the lowdown on Wycombe Wanderers before the big match at the weekend
@billythebee99 Happy to say I’ve been accredited to cover this one, my first look at the Bees in their new home.
If you think Swansea are bully boys I take it you haven’t played a Neil Warnock or Tony Pulls team this year!
@billythebee99 Swansea happy with a point at their own ground. Thinking they did one over on us is even… https://t.co/5hoREQEvh0
It never works for us, try the hardman tactic and we always get booked, maybe we are just not good at acting or rolling over and over, screaming at the slightest touch. Give me the Bees way every time good football which is good to watch
@billythebee99 Strictly come dancing? Or Swan lake..?
Swan Lake for me every time
First match 1958 don’t you think I’ve suffered enough v Kings Lynn won that one though 2-1
@billythebee99 This reminds me of someone. https://t.co/TXmRZWCGrE
Quite a few Brentford players were good at cheating but got away it with the help,of a ref who only booked Swans players!
There is only one person to blame for the continued aggression and blatant diving by the Swansea team
Once again a referee who has no bottle and sees nothing. The quality of referees in the EFL is consistently very poor as highlighted by Tony Mowbray earlier this week.
Please let Brentford continue to play our style of football and hope to some of the ridiculous decisions to go our way.
Bet we get Stroud tomorrow
Poor finishing, a weak ref and an ex player all wound up helped to contribute to the unfortunate dropping of two points to a side who were completely outplayed. I think that Middlesbrough, Stoke and Huddersfield should apply to join Rugby Superleague.
