Beesotted have been right in the thick of the action at the European Championships in France – from being caught up with Russian Militia .. to Riot Police .. in Marseille … to partying in Lens and St Etienne where the atmosphere was soooooooo much better. To nights of shenanigans with the Irish and the Belgians in Bordeaux.

Euro 2016 Tour Part 9 | England Freeze Against Vikings | Iceland 2 England 1

Nice was lovely. Relaxed. Chilled. Great atmosphere. The Iceland fans were quite scarily confident they would get a result against England who they described as being ‘sh1t at big tournaments’. And they weren’t wrong. England lost … the fans didn’t mince their words after the game.

Some funny moments .. broomstick’s on fire .. the Icelandic bong … the Icelandic who couldn’t remember what team he supported …..

Tournaments are a good crack … helps to take away from the dissapointing football.

Next stop … Russia? …

Euro 2016 Tour Part 8 | Genoa to Nice … via Monaco | England v Iceland

En route to Nice .. via Italy … watching Ireland play France on the beach .. an evening out in Monaco … what more can one ask for … on England away?

Part 7 – England 0 Slovakia 0 | St Etienne is Party Zone

St Etienne may be small and had no idea what hit it when England fans descended on it for this match against Slovakia. But it ended up being a right laugh. After the darkness of Marseilles, that was well and truly let behind us as St Etienne was party town. The build up to the match far eclipsing what was seen on the pitch in the evening.

The night before the big match sees police asking England fans for photographs as the St Etienne party starts to warm up.

Euro 2016 Tour Part 5 – Bordeaux | Ireland & Belgium Fans – In The Bars. On The Terraces

Ireland needed a result agains Belgium to ensure that they didn’t go not their final game against Italy needing to get points to qualify for the knockouts. Ireland fans were on fine form the night before the match .. but maybe the team had a bit of a hangover day of the match .. as they went down 3-0 after collapsing in the second half.

Saying that, the weekend was awash with all manor of character. Jockey man. The nun. Hulk-man. All manor of leprechauns. Plus ridiculous parties in the bars and squares of Bordeaux going on till the early hours.
Ireland may have lost .. but you wouldn’t have known it.

The night before the big match, Ireland fans were in fine form as they geared themselves up for the big match.

Part 4 – Wild Scenes in Lens as England Late Win Sparks Street Party

A last minute goal from Sturridge sees England pull off a win against Wales causing wild party scenes in Lens. A great atmosphere between England and Wales fans before, during and after the match helped to erase the memories of the weekend in Marseilles where moody gangs of French and Russian fans put a damper on folk’s holiday.

The day before the Wales game. All roads lead to Lille. As England and Wales .. and Slovakian fans gather … with a few Russians too who seemed to have suffered from memory loss.

Part 2 – England 1 Russia 1 | The Russians are a Riot

The day after we captured French football fans attacking England fans, it was the turn of the Russians – a mob of 500 or so attacking peaceful England fans in the square including the Beesotted crew. Other than that, and when the Russians attacked England fans in the stadium, it was a good day. Match day in Marseilles. Great vibe before the match (until the Russians turned up) .. and a good atmosphere in the stadium spoiled by a last-minute winner.
