Brentford manager Uwe Rosler has today been linked with the freshly vacated Wigan Athletic manager’s job. Rosler, who has also been nominated for November’s Manager of the Month award, is being quoted at odds as low as 1/4 on with both Sky Bet and Paddy Power, which could suggest they have some inside information. Mike Phelan at 9/2 and Ian Holloway (the previous favourite for the DW Stadium job) at 6/1, are the next lowest odds.

After such an impressive sequence of results it would come as no surprise that other clubs are starting to sit up and take note of Rosler’s stock again, but with both Phelan and Holloway freely available, Uwe has stormed to the top of the bookies’ rankings… Do the bookies know something?

Rosler has a contract at Griffin Park until the end of the 2014/15 season, however, he recently admitted at a fans’ forum that he spoke to Wolves last summer.

Brentford fans will be concerned that rumours about the manager’s Brentford future could unsettle the team’s progress, but with the important stadium decision taking place tonight, and the continued investment provided by Mathew Benham, Rosler will be aware that jumping ship may not be the long-term best option.
