Brentford Head Coach, Thomas Frank, and Bees’ striker Ollie Watkins were big winners at the London Football Awards on Thursday evening, after picking up trophies in their respective categories.

lt was a proud night for Brentford, with David Raya (London Goalkeeper) and Bryan Mbeumo (London Young Player) also having been nominated, however, it was Ollie and Thomas who lifted silverware on the night.

Having scored 22 goals so far this season, Ollie’s stock would have risen even higher last night, and he can be heard speaking on a social media video about a possible future move to Arsenal being his dream, but Brentford fans will be hoping this award is a springboard to yet more goals as the promotion push heats up in the coming weeks.

Thomas Frank, who was interviewed at length by Beesotted before Christmas, will be delighted that his work in West London has been recognised with an award, although we are sure he will be the first to say that the only trophy he really wants is one that marks Brentford’s promotion in May.
