Fulham’s visit to Griffin Park tomorrow brings down the curtain on the Bees’ home fixtures in style  – with an eagerly anticipated clash against local rivals.
At one stage it had looked possible that the encounter could be a relegation clash, however, a string of fine results by the Bees, and a couple of critical wins from Fulham, has seen survival assured with both clubs now looking forward to hooking up again next term to renew old acquaintances.
Looking back, we all have our own Bees-Fulham favourite match, and although few will eclipse the ‘Jota In The Last Minute’ classic from 2014, the excellent Big Book of the Nineties contains reports and cuttings from all of the two clubs’ meetings during the decades (plus every other match), including the never-to-be-forgotten first half 4-0 blitz as The Bees marched towards winning the Third Division title under Phil Holder… Let’s relive that day below, and hope that history repeats itself this weekend!
The photos below show Status Quo bass player Rhino Edwards holding up the Middlesex Chronicle the week afterwards, Brentford’s Simon Ratcliffe and Gary Blissett scoring at the Brook Road end of Griffin Park, and the match report from the Chronicle.

I was at both…as a tester, although photos are in b/w, I think Fulham wore an all pale blue kit in ’92?
2016 3-0 was against the poorest quality Fulham team I’ve ever seen, no desire or pride in their performance.
Both were crushing wins for The Bees, but the away 4-1 win edges it for me, just because of the quality of the goals at The Cottage.
