Brentford have upped the search for a senior stopper to step into the boots of Simon Moore.
Reports from the Gazette & Herald suggest that we had a bid for Wes Foderingham rejected. Swindon would have been left with one keeper at the start of the season if they offloaded their main keeper a chance decided to hold onto him …for now.
With Rosler watching the Bristol Rovers v Reading match at the weekend, rumours started flying around he wasp motoring Simon Moore’s brother Stu Moore who plays for Reading. Realistically, he probably isn’t experienced enough for what we’re looking for.
With talk of a loan keeper being announced any moment from a championship club to bridge the gap, with Swindon in a bit of a predicament don’t be surprised if our interest in him continues over the next few weeks.
He may have just signed a new contract but just like Simon Moore, we’re sure a highly rated keeper such as Wes would have put a break clause in his contract allowing him to leave if the right deal came in. Maybe a wee pep talk from Alan McCormack over the next few weeks will convince him.
Whether or not we get Foderingham, it shows the ambition of the club holds no bounds … Within reason of course.
