Former Brentford boss Andy Scott has at last found a new job, replacing former Bees striker Dean Holdworth at Aldershot Town. Scott, who still divides fans’ opinions at Griffin Park, had been twiddling his metaphorical thumbs since last March when he was sacked by Rotherham United, and had been linked to a few jobs recently, including the AFC Wimbledon job earlier in the season.
Whether Scott has learned his lessons from the fall-outs at his last two clubs remains to be seen, but after guiding Brentford to promotion in 2010, few Bees supporters would begrudge him another chance at success, despite his churlish anti-Brentford stance while commentating on the Orient v Brentford match for Sky last September.
