   Superb, well informed piece. If it at all possible this should be sent to police football intelligence units in the country. It is a sad fact that some fans are still treated with suspicion.

   Plenty of ejections at Fulham from away fans sitting in home end etc, over the years. I mean, no one actually supports Fulham do they?

   The security crap is nonsense; just giving in to those arsehole terrorists, allowing them to screw up our peaceful and trusting society; Fulham are an old and good spirited club and the stupid abuse directed at them is pathetic.

     Trust us … the Fulham Safety officer who was running the gauntlet was anything but a ‘leftie’ .. if fact this type of attitude is conservative in the extreme (look at who was opposing the building of Lionel Rd from Chiswick and Kew … their views were similarly aligned)

   Good well written and thoughtful article.

   My only problem with “hating” Fulham is I’ve never met a fan of theirs I didn’t like.

   Now some of those boys in Blue up the road…..
