O’Connor Promoted To Assist Thomas Frank

O’Connor Promoted To Assist Thomas Frank

Former Brentford player, and current B team head coach, Kevin O’Connor, was today unveiled as the assistant to Thomas Frank. Frank has had a torrid time since replacing Dean Smith in the top job at Griffin Park, and having lost seven of his first nine matches in charge of the first team, with a single win and a draw to his credit in that time, many fans were calling for action to be taken.

The Brentford hierarchy have clearly got real belief in the Danish head coach, and time will tell whether the appointment of O’Connor, who has a legendary status at the club, will be the right fix, but obviously we all wish the pair well in turning things around on the pitch. We spoke about this situation on today’s Pride of West London Brentford Podcast.

It had been rumoured that another former Bee, Keith Millen, had been in the frame for the number two role, and had been seen at Griffin Park recently to cast his eye over the team, however, with more than 500 appearances for the Bees, spanning almost two decades, King Kev has a wealth of experience he can share with the young side, from understand the player’s perspective, and the fan’s expectations, more than most.

The Bee Job Question

The Great Brentford Song Scam
