Brentford today announced the much anticipated news that Jake Bidwell has joined the club on a permanent basis from Everton.

The left back has been a pretty regular fixture in The Bees first team over the past two seasons but was playing as a loanee – Brentford have now signed him for an undisclosed fee. It’s highly likely that Everton will have negotiated sell-on fees as part of the deal.

Bidwell has signed a three year contract that will keep him in TW8 until the summer of 2016.

The twenty year old was named in the provisional squad for England U20’s this summer but did not make the final cut.

Jake has started 73 games for Brentford in all competitions but is yet to find the onion bag.
