Brentford went to Wolves on the back of a very important victory at home to Rotherham. And the way they started this Wolves game, it looked like they had got their mojo back – taking the lead in the first half through an excellently worked Djuricin goal … and bossing the proceedings from there on in.
Wolves came back in the second half but it wasn’t to be as Brentford were first to the ball most of the time and looked more organised .. more determined .. and more resolute … with Wolves unable to break them down and responding by hoofing the ball desperately on a number of occasions.
We spoke to both Brentford and Wolves fans after the match …
the sky highlights clearly show wolves had good scoring chances; the d goal was a lucky deflection and hofmann has to be spoon fed to score; i could have scored.
Those who were actually at the match were able to rationally comment on the WHOLE 90 mins rather than the 90 secs seen on TV … as TV seems to sometimes not tell the full story. The point blank chance missed by Hoffman just before his 2nd goal that Sky highlights very very very strangely missed out for a start. Also, the highlights could not have shown the absolute domination and ability to hold the ball of the Bees over 90 minutes .. and in particular in the 1st half.
Wolves were on the back foot. They had to come forward to try and score.
It’s also very easy to say Wolves were terrible. If we had set up like we did four or five weeks ago, maybe they would not have looked so terrible. They would have penetrated our midfield and hit us on the break … gone one goal up after 15 mins and we would have been on the back foot.
They were at home. But not one Wolves fan we spoke to (and we spoke to quite a few) said they deserved ANYTHING from that game. This was not a lucky victory by any chance. We had to be tactically on the money today. And to be fair, Bees surprised us all and really stepped up to the plate.
But again (and this isn’t a disrespect) …. you would only get a full picture if you actually saw the whole match
Start disrespecting them everyone at Beesotted, look back at comments on yours and Nick Bruzons past blogs, so called fans actually wanting it to go tits up for the Bees and Matt Benham, same old names. All have one thing in common though its called Warbitis, for gods sake we have all had a touch of that, but for some its terminal.
From the game highlights and having watched the game against Rotherham it would seem that Harlee and Tarks have been fed a little more red meat!
More putting it on the line for the cause.
Or maybe the coach has actually just shown them what they need to
Interestingly, the highlights on Beesplayer shows a different tale .. including Hofmann’s miss seconds before he actually scored his second. But lets not let what actually happened on the night get in the way of a good olde team put-down

ONLY FANATICS COMMENTS ARE WELCOME
Rodi is Roderics love child, supporters my arse.
We’re just waiting for you to tell us that the Sky Sports headlights showed QPR to have had more chances than Brentford.
As we have said week in and week out on our podcast, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and people have to respect that. However, some people are measured. And some people are not.
And some people will see nine positives in front of them but will choose to take the one negative and amplify that.
Dare we say it, you seem to fall into that category.
Nothing to do with fanatics. It’s just balance.
