Following an eventful week of new signings for the Bees, Tony Craig headed for the exit door, having agreed a settlement to end his contract with Brentford. The popular defender returns to League One Millwall, where he enjoyed a successful period earlier in his career.
On behalf of all Brentford fans I would like to wish Tony Craig all the very best at Millwall; he has been a model professional at Griffin Park, and somebody who has played a central role in the club’s progress and success over the past three seasons.
As suggested in the Beesotted article that welcomed Danish International Andreas Bjelland, the current strengthening of our squad, which is understood to become even more thorough in the coming weeks, will inevitably see players having to be sold on to accommodate the newcomers, or for Financial Fair Play reasons.

Good luck to Tony.
The smarts dont seem to outwork lack of size, strength and and pace anymore but he is too good of a player (overall) to be limited to Under-21s and a ‘veteran on a team’. He is popular at Milwall and they need every help they can get, really, so to be able to get someone like Craig in their current situation must be a massive bonus for them.
Once again – thanks, Tony, and many good games back in SE London.
