Brentford’s loanee, Conor McAleny, has spoken for the first time about sustaining a broken leg during the 1-0 win over Walsall on Saturday – the young striker saying he was ‘absolutely devastated’ and that he ‘has never been this low in his life’.
Speaking on his Twitter account the promising Evertonian was also clearly trying to be philosophical at what must be a very emotional time when he said; “…there’s no point dwellin’ on it now because that’s football… these things happen. I know for a fact I’ll come back a stronger person physically and mentally.”
Uwe Rosler has vowed that Brentford Football club will do all they can to help support Conor in his fight to regain full fitness, although it is likely that the player will undergo all rehabilitation supervised by Everton’s medical staff at Finch Farm.
Once again, we wish Conor a speedy and full recover.
