All Brentford’s ticket allocation for the Chelsea game has now sold out. The final tickets were sold before Tuesday night’s Stevenage game to the first couple of hundred of queuing and phoning fans with their names on the Brentford database.

Many Brentford fans, knowing that they wouldn’t get a ticket in the away end, have purchased tickets in the Chelsea home end as the club is struggling to sell home seats for this game and has taken the rare move of advertising it on local radio. Reports from home fans that the atmosphere in the Chelsea end is expected to be dire on Sunday will come as great news to the assembled masses in the away end as an 8am start on the river and various establishments in the West London manor will once again guarantee a lively noisy morning for the Bees following.

This whole ticket malarkey is bound to revised in the closed season as the undoubted uptake in the number of season ticket holders next season as well as BIAS and Bees United members will make the current system even more chaotic. Watch this space as Beesotted discusses the various options in the next few weeks.
