Brentford’s trailblazing season of big scalp victories continued at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night, with Thomas Frank’s side silencing the Blues crowd and sending the away end wild – that’s two Premiership wins on the spin at The Bridge.

An own goal from a Bees corner, then a deflected Bryan Mbeumo shot as he cut in from the right did the damage, but it was a night where the tactic and substitutions were spot on – man of the match Ethan Pinnock was magnificent and won everything in the air when Chelsea did threaten but, in truth this was a thoroughly deserved win and keeps The Bees at the top of the West London mini-league!
