Now that is a very good and interesting point. Knowing how dreadful the pitch is and the potential for losing regular first team players to injury on it, do you want to play them? We have potentially lost Bjelland. Was Dijkhuizen protecting his senior squad knowing that the approach was being made to postpone Birmingham the very next day. He knew he had to play the Oxford game and that the pitch at Ashton Gate would be fine. If this is the case I give him some considerable credit and thinking about it, it makes sense.
