Brentford’s long unbeaten home run came to an end against Newcastle despite taking the lead and dominating an eventful first half. Ivan Toney’s uncharacteristic missed penalty was followed by another more successful attempt before the break, but The Magpies changed things at half time and created big chances that were taken well. The Bees pushed hard for an equaliser but it wasn’t to be. Thomas Frank’s side have every right to feel hard done by as the Bees deserved a point at least from the match.
