Brentford’s leaky defence looks set for a testing evening tonight as the surprise, seven-straight-wins League One leaders, Leyton Orient, come to Griffin Park. Uwe Rosler’s team will have been boosted by last weekend’s win at Prenton Park after several weeks of mixed results, but the O’s 5-1 demolition of Notts County in midweek shows they are the form team in the division and, unless the Bees are at their best, are no doubt confident of extending their winning run.

The return of Richard ‘Don’t Worry, About A Thing’ Lee to the starting eleven was a welcome shot in the arm – experience, awareness and the ability to read the game had been lacking by Brentford goalies this season – however, protection from the men in front of him will be key.

Having shipped seven goals in the last two league matches I’m sure Uwe Rosler, who celebrates his 100th League match in charge of the club tonight, has spent a lot of time on the training ground trying to tighten things up at the back – and despite injuries – there should be enough quality defenders at his disposal to find the right solution.

Bees fans will be confident that if their side plays to its potential, with the front men converting the chances we rarely struggle to create, and the boys at the back keep things no-nonsense and error free, then the good home run will continue in front of the Sky TV cameras. Personally, I’m predicting a 3-1 home win and a little Uwe dance as he heads back down the tunnel after the match.
