Bakary Sako and THOSE boots

sako boots

Wolves player Bakary Sako has taken football boot customisation to a new level for his 100th game with the club.

The winger has had his boots engraved with Swarovski diamonds, including the pattern of the Wolves badge, his signature and the number 100.

A man known for his confidence, Sako recently posted a picture to his Twitter account revealing his customised phone case showing himself celebrating scoring for Wolves.

Quite how these shiny new boots will look after a quick runaround on the Griffin Park turf is going to be interesting to see.

ex-Bee George Saville returns to Griffin Park on Saturday for his first match against the Bees since moving to Molineaux. Nouha Dicko has a hamstring injury and won’t feature. Brentford have no known new injury worries and are expected to go into this match with an unchanged squad

Sako’s boots plus more were discussed by Bees and Wolves fans in the Beesotted Thursday pre-match podcast

Fulham Man of the Match feels he has proven his doubters wrong
Toumani Diagouraga has felt he has done enough this season to prove his doubters wrong.

Speaking to GetWestLondon, Toums is confident that he has done enough to prove his critics wrong and hopefully earn himself a new deal at Griffin Park.

In the recent Beesotted MOM poll for the Fulham match, the midfielder was streets ahead of the pack with over 53% of the vote.

The midfielder, who turned down a move to Coventry City saying he wanted to fight for his place at Brentford, said

“I think people doubted whether I could play at this level, but I’ve gone out there and shown what I can do”

Groundshare poll results

Twickenham was next most popular with 14% of the vote.Craven Cottage was ever so slightly ahead of Loftus Rd with fans at just over 10%.

Stamford Bridge came in at 8% and none of the above at 7%.

Most Bees know this poll is tongue in cheek .. with the club being forced to give details to the Premier League if we were to get promoted. Most fans are still getting over promotion from Division 1 and will be delighted with a top half-of-the table finish in their first season in the Championship.

Whelan under fire

Wigan chairman Dave Wheelan has been charged by the FA for an “aggravated breach” of FA laws after comments he mad about Jewish and Chinese people in an interview.

Whelan has threatened to quit as chairman of the club if he is found guilty of racism or any discrimination offence.

This all stemmed from Whelan’s controversial appointment of Malky Mackay, who is under FA investigation over homophobic, racist and sexist texts who Whelan appointed after sacking former Bees boss Uwe Rosler.

Whelan has until next Friday to respond to the charges faced against him.
