The hotly awaited Championship fixture list was released today (bar a bit of tinkering for TV coverage) with Brentford starting the season with a home tie against fellow  London side Charlton Atheltic on Saturday 9th August.

Many fans will have looked straight for the games to be played against our local rivals Fulham, but we will have to wait until late November for the Cottagers to travel to Griffin Park (it’s unlikely that Fulham will have been mathematically relegated by then so there will still be something to play for)  – with the reverse fixture being played in early April 2015

Our final game of the season will be at home to Uwe Rosler’s Wigan Athletic, which may add some spice to a fixture which could be important to both sides.

No sign of a match against Harry Forrester’s Doncaster though – must be a typo.
