Brentford are on the verge of signing Marco Djuricin from Red Bull Salzburg on a season long loan according to our sources in Austria.

Beesotted reported earlier in the year the 23 year old the striker being strongly rumoured to join Brentford from Sturm Graz where he scored 17 goals in 36 matches.

For various reasons the deal did not materialise, Djuricin then choosing to move to Salzburg – a team ranked in some circles on par with Liverpool –  for €2.4m.

After being one of the top goalscorers in the Austrian Bundesliga whilst playing for Sturm Graz, Djuricin then struggled to make an impact at Salzburg – the Austrian international scoring only 3 goals in his 17 appearances.

Djuricin is now looking to get his career back on track with a loan move to West London. Bees fans will be hoping a drop down a division will enable the striker to get his teeth stuck in and recapture his Sturm Graz goal-scoring ways.
