Brentford went to QPR with no strikers. They didn’t score any goals. But QPR did. They scored three in fact.
Needless to say Bees fans weren’t happy. QPR fans were delighted with their performance – but felt the Bees played into their hands with their tactics.
We talk to QPR and Brentford fans in the pub after the match

Most QPR commentators regarded BFC as the worst team that they have played over the season and easily dealt with; BFC fans, mainly blind optimism , or just blind, save a few realists, who believe as I do, that things are in a dire state of affairs and if, as they all are exhibiting., the lower teams are fighting to stay up, things could end badly.
I am a Bees fan of over 50 years, so we are crap whats new ,the man you hate saved this football club, blind optimism, blind call it what YOU will, we call it gratitude something you sadly seem to lack.
Blind man’s guff; the sky could be crashing down on the club and all you would rattle on about, would be your hero; well pal many fans see beyond your consistently broken record rant, as BFC were not “crap”, last season, they were great!
That is, before the owner went beyond the area in which he had a good effect and at which he excels, making money and financing the club, to interfere in the playing and football, about which he is clearly not that successful, as evidenced by the fiasco of this season; who is “we”, an army of one?
Any negativity on my part, is only there because of the above, he was mr anonymous up to mid way last season, when he started his one man mission to undo all the massive progress made by Rosler and gentleman MW on the pitch, where, after all, it counts most, d’ont you agree?
Obviously not, having a solvent football club to support counts first, you wont get a Grey, Odabajo, Tarks, Judge, Bjeland, ect, ect out of loose change from a bucket, also you seem to want to forget that under Rosler and Warburton Benham had a big input on how we played and what they did, after all he brought them to the club and paid there wages, d’ont you agree?
Are you his self-appointed apologist, it certainly seems to be a bit ott with you matey! ? The money and the playing, with hopeful success, go hand in hand, and the point I am making, that you stubbornly choose to ignore, is that the club is now out of balance and off track, because the owner has increasingly stuck his nose into the playing side, with very negative consequences. I know from experience, that you will not listen to reasoned debate and in fact try to stifle same, you will never succeed!
Now be a good fellow, let us have different opinions and go in peace; time will tell who is right
I think it surprising that in one season we manage to have two of the worst managers in our history, and my history goes back to the fifties.
My point is that following Rosler and Warburton what has changed.
Mat Benham picked them.
What input did our so-called sporting directors have in the appointment of Marinus and Smith.
Two Sporting Directors: one who has no background in football and another who knows nothing about the Championship
I think so we are crap, covers that one, as the old sayings go one swallow does not make a summer, sometimes you have to go backwards to go forward, and patience is a virtue, and God knows ive had to have plenty of that in my 50 odd years. As you so rightly say time will tell, now i go in peace.
SMITH said he played without a striker for tactical reasons didnt he know we dont have a striker
