The first radio play of the brand new According To You version of ‘Come On You Brentford’ takes place tonight (Tuesday 3rd December) at 7pm on Inspired Radio. Click here at 7pm to hear interviews with the band and the Beesotted crew. There’s a very short sneak (very early and rough) preview of one of the studio out-takes in the video clip above.

Beesotted and the band went into the studio a week ago to record the song in the hope of raising funds for those suffering in the Philippines following the devastating Typhoon – all productions costs were covered by Bees fan Dan Suh’s company Korean Foods – meaning every penny raised will be given to Oxfam’s Typhoon Appeal.

As individuals it’s difficult to know what do for the best. The urge is to jump on a plane and help physically, meaning that sometimes a simple donation just doesn’t seem enough. Sometimes you feel you need to do more, so we felt we had to do something. We did this.

The band’s lead singer, Dennie Cook, added: “Both football and music evoke very strong emotions, but when the images from the Philippines came on our screen, it put everything into perspective. We know a little known song won’t raise millions, but if everyone does what they can, we will make a difference sooner. The gesture won’t rebuild Guiuan on it’s own – but with support it could help.”

Beesotted and the band are aiming to raise upwards of £5,000 from the sales. The track is expected to be available on iTunes mid next week.
