Reece Is The Word – Cole Loaned To Newport County

Bees midfielder, Reece Cole, has joined Newport County in a six month loan deal that will see the promising youngster gain valuable first team experience at the League Two Welsh club and is expected to be given his debut against Crewe Alexandra at Gresty Road this Saturday.

Cole enjoyed a decent pre-season for Brentford, scoring twice in the friendly at Aldershot, and a thunderbolt free kick at Oxford United – he was also an unused substitute during the Bees’ midweek League Cup win against AFC Wimbledon.

Cole began his youth career at Brentford s a part of the Under 15 team which emerged victorious in the Junior category at the 2012 Milk Cup before working his way through the ranks – he made his first team debut as a late substitute for Nico Yennaris in a 3–2 victory over Nottingham Forest in March 2017 ahead of signing a new three-year contract.

Cole is a positive, friendly and intelligent young football who appeared on the Beesotted Pride of West London Podcast towards the end of last season… which you can hear again by clicking the link below.

Beesotted wish him well at Newport, and just like Tom Field, who was loaned out to Bradford City earlier this week, we hope he makes the most of his time away and comes back to the Bees ready to hold down a regular first team position.

A case of lots of possession but not taking your chances for the Bees

Disappointing result

We spoke to #BrentfordFC & #thfc fans straight after the match

🎶 I said to my mum, the other day, I think I’ve seen l, the new Pele, she said to me, ‘who is he?’, I said he goes by the name of Kayode! 🎶 #brentfordfc

Bees lost 2-0 but were the better team for most of that match… lacked real cutting edge or a big centre forward to maximise the amount of crosses into the area… highlights were Damsgaard again and the first glimpses of Kayode who looked great at the end COYB #BrentfordFC
