Brentford came away from enemy territory with an impressive 4-1 League Cup victory over Queens Park Rangers thanks mainly to a devastating first half performance in which the Bees gave Rangers a footballing lesson. After going in 3-1 up at the break (OG, Egan, Maupay) Brentford allowed Rangers to come back into it during the second period, however, the Bees notched another goal (Clarke) to give the final score line a well deserved feel. Here’s what the euphoric Bees fans thought at the final whistle and after the match.

    Well done; Brentford converted their chances, QPR did not. I understand that the QPR team selection, comprised virtually all the second stringers. I think a dangerous Wolves on Saturday, will be a much sterner challenge. Good luck to the Bees.
