Brentford’s plans for a big atmosphere against Tottenham on Saturday are well underway… starting with the fan groups all pulling in the same direction.

The thinking has been laid out in the latest Beesotted podcast:

Wear red and white

Get down the pubs early and start a vibe going (lunch time would be good)

Get inside the ground by 5pm,  and make some noise in the half-hour before kick-off

There is with a fan march setting off from the Kew side of the Bridge at around 4.30pm.

TW8 Casuals have put together a Fan March and Flag Display on Saturday, leaving Kew Green – by the cricket club – at 4.30pm and arriving at the ground around 4.45 to 5pm. The message from TW8 is the same one Beesotted are pushing: get in your seat for 5pm so the team can feel the noise during the warm-up, not just after kick-off.

Anyone in the West Stand who finds a flag waiting on their seat is being asked to wave it from 5pm right through until the game starts, and TW8 are still after volunteers to help set the flags up pre-match – reach out to them directly if you can spare half an hour beforehand.

Bees United, the official Supporters’ Trust, have also joined the call, billing Saturday as a “Bees Uniform Day” and asking everyone – home end, corporate seats, the lot – to wear red and white for Keith and the boys. Their social posts did the rounds with a shot of the new home shirt on a hanger, the message simple enough: watch for the flags, and wear the colours.

Fans are more than welcome to join Beesotted down The Steam Packet on Strand on the Green from lunch time for a pre-match warm up. We’ll have our Tottenham-themed Smartphone Quiz at 4.15pm (always a good laugh), which gives plenty of time for fans to walk the 10 minutes to the West Stand to be in their seats for 5pm

Three separate groups, one instruction. Whether you’re marching from Kew Green, meeting down the Steam Packet beforehand for the quiz then heading in early, or just getting the bus straight to the ground, the request is the same: be in red and white, be in your seat by 5pm, and be loud from the moment the players walk out for the warm-up rather than waiting for the whistle.

Then throughout the match!
