Brentford have been drawn at home to Norwich City in the Third Round of the League Cup following the secretive draw in an Airbnb somewhere in China – the match date has yet to be confirmed due to TV scheduling, however, its not a tie that will cause much interest to the wider footballing world, so expect it to take place at Griffin Park on Tuesday 19 September.

The visit of the Canaries is the prize for the excellent 4-1 win at Loftus Road earlier this week, and will be the Bees first foray past Round Two since 2010 when we beat Everton on penalties, before being knocked out the same way after taking Birmingham City to extra time at St Andrews.

Norwich will provide a stern test, however, the Bees will certainly fancy their chances under the Griffin Park floodlights.
