Executing Plan B to See Bees. Threes Up. Transfer Gossip – Bolton pre-match podcast from the pub

New Year. New Cheer. And the Beesotted Brentford podcast crew have gone all adventurous in the New Year – abandoning the safe zone of West London to assemble to consume more beers within spitting distance of Smithfield meat market prior to the Bolton match – The Butcher’s Hook and Cleaver near Farringdon being the drinking spot. It was here where the characters discussed all sorts including the FA Cup defeat and whether Brentford fans should just not bother with the FA Cup any more if it’s not taken seriously like it was back in the day.

In addition, we ask have you ever changed your plans to make sure you don’t miss a super important Brentford match? We told tales of plans changed a plenty to ensure that we were able to see the Bees over the seasons including one un-named pannelist who avoided an encounter of ‘activity’ to see the Bees – reading out fans’ examples of their change of plan to make sure they were there cheering on their team.

With the forthcoming Bolton match being given an 80s theme by the club – harking back to the days of players like Bobby Booker, Francis Joseph, Chris Kamara and Terry Evans, we dug onto our vaults and found a few clips from Beesotted socials featuring 80s players.

Furthermore, we talk about the activity in and around Brentford at the moment including transfer gossip and the forthcoming B-team tour of Ireland that Beesotted are seriously considering doing a live podcast from.

Finally, we talk to Eddie Skelly (@EddieSkelly) from Bolton blog and podcast Lion of Vienna Suite and discuss the Bolton match.

The Great Brentford Song Scam

For years Brentford fans have constantly been evolving the songs they employ to support their team. Scientists and historians, such as myself, rarely take an interest in such forms of tribal worship. But, after being approached by Beesotted to take a closer look at...

It’s Brentford… Weren’t It

As I wandered into the Ealing Road Terrace with my dad, who had made the trip over from France especially to see a promotion decider, echoes of Reading in 2002 were ringing rather worryingly in my ears. Eleven years had passed since we had watched that fateful Cureton...

The Record Breaking, History Making Bees

The 2013/14 season will certainly live long in the hearts and minds of all Bees fans. Mark Warburton and Uwe Rosler’s squad made what had been little more than a dream in years gone by into a beautiful reality. But, in order to fully comprehend what this group has...

Can’t thank him enough for making me a Bee

It was over 14 years ago that my dad took me to my first Brentford game in a buggy. I don't remember anything about the game – considering I was just three months old – but, over the years, my dad has been taking me to home and away games to watch the Bees and, it's...
