“Sunderland Gave Up A Two Goal Lead. We Were Lucky Not To Have Lost That Match” – Post-Match podcast from the pub

“Sunderland Gave Up A Two Goal Lead. We Were Lucky Not To Have Lost That Match” – Post-Match podcast from the pub

An exciting game of six goals which saw Sunderland go 3-1 up at half time with two official shots on target (and an own goal what saw Bees keeper Dan Bentley throw the ball into the back of his own net).

Brentford came back at them in the second half – equalising 3-3 – and could easily have won the game as The Bees took the game to their North East rivals in a game of two halves.

Typical Brentford match which saw them take the lead but fail to hold onto the lead – letting in three goals with some typical Brentford-esque defending.

Interesting the graphic below pretty much described the strengths and weaknesses of both teams – predicting how this game was going to pan out. Brentford scored a great goal direct from a free kick. Created a fair amount of chances – 9 on target. Didn’t protect the lead. Sunderland were good at stealing the ball off Brentford players and they came back from 1-0 down.

We discussed the above graphic when we spoke to both Sunderland & Brentford fans in the pub after the match
