Spread the love

As I wake up this morning, with a sore head and bleary eyes, I’m sat here in bed trying to piece together the magnitude of what happened at Griffin Park yesterday.

We partied with the players in The Nelson until very late… a special bunch of lads who who have fought so hard for the club this season… a special bunch of players who showed no fear, no nerves… No promotion jitters. Led by a wise, hugely likeable manager whose attack-minded philosophy and positivity saw us claim our rightful prize… The atmosphere was truly amazing, as it has been pretty much all season on the terraces up and down the land.

Euphoric joy was seen in pubs all over Brentford, as relieved, happy Bees sang into the early hours… the Bees are back… Out of that division at last… So much to look forwards to… But so much to remember.

Our proud old football club celebrates it’s 125th birthday next season… What a fitting way to kick-start that party!

It wasn’t just Good Friday… It was the Best Friday!
